Â

the anniversary, freshman year of high school circa 1999, played my favorite sounds that enticed my ears. Their break up in 2004 was completely devastating, considering that the month prior to their dismantling, diana and i were to indulge in what could have been the best concert of a lifetime; however, we did not. to make it up to us (yes, to us), vagrant records is releasing a two disc album of B-sides tracks today. go pick it up! the above referenced article will give you more information on the album.

FOUND presents A&K: Not Particularly Tall
May 2nd, 2008
Â
Â
Â

Found cordially invites you to A&K’s exhibition ‘Not Particularly Tall,’ opening this Saturday, May 3 from 6-9pm.
The opening is, of course, open to the public and will feature several surprises.
A&K are two exciting young artists who met in South Africa, although both are permanent [at least for now] L.A. denizens. As both A and K are equally quite short young women, they have decided to dedicate their first formal showing together to their lack of tallness. However, their new work combines all sorts of materials into a colorful, craft-inspired rumination on the institution of holidays, where repetition is a key tenant in defining ritual. Further, the blurry line of art and craft evokes domestic imagery, further underscoring A&K’s vision of art as a daily, integral part of life.
